BECOMING A VOLUNTEER:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Volunteers are an integral part of Ross Memorial Hospital.
If you are 16 or older, you may apply to be a volunteer. Anyone under the age of 18 will require parental consent. If you are interested in completing your high school community service hours, you will need to commit to 50 hours for a letter of confirmation to be provided.
To become a volunteer, you must complete the application process. Please note that this process takes 5-6 weeks to complete.

If you are accepted as a volunteer:
You will need to:
- Request a Criminal Reference Check, as directed by the hospital.
- Have a 2-step tuberculous vaccination, which will be completed at the hospital.
- Must provide proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations
- Attend a two-hour hospital volunteer orientation session.
- Complete three training shifts with a fellow volunteer.
Information for consideration:
Volunteers provide a minimum of one shift per week. Shifts can range from two-to-four hours. Shifts are generally during daytime hours and there is some flexibility to these hours. Special requests will be considered as long as it meets the needs of the volunteer and the volunteer program.
Volunteers must be committed to adhering to Ross Memorial Hospital policy & procedures.
